Bangkok is hot in every month: mean daily maximums sit around 31–35 C all year, with April–May the peak (34–35 C max) and December–January the mildest (nights around 21 C).

The wet season runs roughly May through October; September is the wettest month in the climate normals (about 344 mm over ~18 rain days), so expect heavy afternoon downpours and pack accordingly on autumn layovers.

January–March is the dry window (1–2 rain days a month); annual rainfall of about 1,500 mm is concentrated almost entirely in the May–October monsoon months.

Data are the Thai Meteorological Department's climate normals as published through the WMO World Weather Information Service.
