DWD 1991-2020 normals for the Frankfurt/Main station: July is the warmest month at a 20.5 C monthly mean, August 20.0 C, January the coldest at 2.3 C, annual mean 11 C. Pack for cool evenings outside June-August.

Heat is occasional, not structural: the station averages about 16 days a year at 30 C or above, nearly all of them June to August. Older hotels and taverns often lack air conditioning, but there is no official heat regime to plan around.

Winter is frosty rather than severe: about 64 frost days a year, concentrated November to March, so icy mornings are normal in that window.

Rain is spread across the whole year, roughly 600 mm annually, with July and August actually the wettest months (63.5 and 61.4 mm) and April the driest (36.6 mm). There is no dry season; carry a rain layer regardless of month.
