flydubai at a glance

flydubai is an airline based at Dubai International (DXB), UAE. DXB is also the base for Emirates and dnata.

No flydubai recruitment events or vacancies are listed at the moment. flydubai advertises on its own careers site, which is where a vacancy usually appears first. Pay below is the MENA & Gulf benchmark rather than a carrier-level scale. Gulf figures are effectively tax-free, and most are total package: base plus housing, schooling, transport and end-of-service gratuity.

Notes and caveats

TAX-FREE in the UAE, and housing and transport allowances are inside this figure, not provided in kind. Contract currency AED, converted at the Central Bank of the UAE rate of AED 3.6725 to USD 1 (published 21 September 2026). flydubai publishes two lines: 'Basic salary + Housing allowance + Transportation allowance: AED 8,275' and 'Plus Variable Flying pay: Avg. Monthly AED 4,500 (Based on average of 90 flying hours)'. The figure here is the two added together and multiplied by 12, AED 153,300. ANNUALISATION ASSUMPTION: flydubai labels the flying pay as monthly but attaches no period to the AED 8,275. It is read as monthly because it sits beside the monthly flying pay line; if that reading is wrong, this figure is wrong. The fixed line alone is AED 99,300 a year, about USD 27,039, and flying pay is an average that moves with the roster. Because the housing and transport allowances are inside the figure, a crew member pays for housing out of it; the Emirates and Etihad figures exclude housing because those airlines provide it. flydubai also publishes a training bond of USD 2,650 (approximately AED 9,700) for the first year, which is not deducted here.
