Recruitment is running now: 58 events in the next 30 days, for cabin crew, in London, Cape Town, Krakow and elsewhere. Emirates advertises on its own careers site, which is where a vacancy usually appears first. Pay below is the MENA & Gulf benchmark rather than a carrier-level scale. Gulf figures are effectively tax-free, and most are total package: base plus housing, schooling, transport and end-of-service gratuity.

Notes and caveats

TAX-FREE in the UAE, and housing comes on top: Emirates provides it in kind, so it is not in this figure. Contract currency AED, converted at the Central Bank of the UAE rate of AED 3.6725 to USD 1 (published 21 September 2026). Emirates publishes 'approximate numbers for Grade II (Economy Class)': a basic salary of AED 4,980 a month, flying pay of AED 69.6 an hour 'based on avg. 80-100 hours / month', and an average monthly pay of AED 11,244, which it converts itself as USD 3,061. The figure here is that average times 12, AED 134,928. It equals the basic salary plus flying pay at 90 hours, the midpoint of Emirates' range, so a lighter or heavier roster moves it; the basic salary alone is AED 59,760 a year, about USD 16,272. It leaves out the overseas meal allowance, which Emirates names as the third component of pay without giving a figure. Emirates provides furnished shared accommodation free of charge, including water and electricity, and company transport to work and training. Its Cabin Crew Opportunities job posting repeats the same three figures, converts the average as about USD 3,100, and adds profit share to the benefits without a figure. Starting grade only: Emirates publishes no figure for any other cabin crew grade.
